Goshen County Library
The Goshen County Library is an intergenerational community hub offering many experiences, services, and materials that seek to enrich and positively impact all community members. In 1921, interested and civic-minded citizens of Goshen County laid the groundwork for such a library in Goshen County. On November 14, 1922, the Goshen County Library Board was incorporated under the laws of Wyoming. The first book collection was a community-driven effort where citizens of Goshen County donated their books to establish a library for the whole community. This community-driven focus continues to be the heart of our organization 100 years later: to partner with the community to meet the needs of our community. For the last 100 years, the Goshen County Library has been a hub for the growing rural and agricultural community, existing in four locations, moving from a shared space in the high school to its current location, a remodeled mid-century grocery store.
