A Clarinda Conversation; part of the American Conversation Project
Hosted by Lied Public Library - Clarinda
Facilitated by Andrew Hoppmann
About this Conversation
As a library partner of the American Conversation Project, we’re hosting a small-group recorded conversation where community members can talk about the things that matter most to them. American Conversation Project (ACP) — a nonpartisan national civic listening initiative led by the National Conference on Citizenship, in partnership with Cortico and a growing coalition of civic, cultural, education, faith, and media organizations — to bring people together in communities across the country for honest conversations about what matters most. No debate, no agenda — just neighbors listening to neighbors. The insights from these conversations will be gathered and shared back so people can see not just what their neighbors are saying, but what Americans everywhere are thinking and feeling, and so the decisions that shape our communities get made without the voices that matter most. While these conversations are recorded, there will be a way for a participant to remain anonymous if they decide to. Due to the nature of these conversations, attendance will be limited to 6 people.
